The Filipino Youth with a Mission (FYM)

The Filipino Youth with a Mission (FYM) is the youth arm of the Fil-Mission Auxiliary Association. The FYM is a nationwide Catholic, lay, non-political and non-profit, religious organization composed of young people that is based in the parish dedicated to develop a deep spiritual union with Jesus, be a witness to Christian life and fully cooperate in the missionary activity of the Church.

The Vision

The Filipino Youth with a Mission, as the youth arm of the Fil-Mission Auxiliary Association and in support of the missionary apostolate of the Roman Catholic Church, is an active agent of evangelization through active involvement in the missionary apostolate.

The Objectives

The objectives of the FYM shall be as follows:

a. To spiritually form the young people with the Word of God and the Catholic doctrines in order to become better witnesses of Christ.

b. To support the Filipino missionaries especially the members of the Mission Society of the Philippines through prayers and sacrifices.

c. To become promoter of mission in their own families, parishes, schools and communities.

d. To profess a sincere commitment o becoming agent of evangelization.

Membership

Young Catholic male or female, from ages 13 to 24, student, out of school youth, or young professional and committed to be part of the missionary effort of the Catholic Church.

 

 

The Mission

Convinced of the urgency to preach the Gospel, the FYM dedicates itself to the apostolic work of the Church, share in the work of promoting awareness and supporting Filipino Missionaries, and helps the youth in their spiritual journey which may lead them to discover their true vocations.

Basic Organizing Principle

As an affiliate youth arm, the Filipino Youth with a Mission adheres and follows the vision, mission, objectives, and principle of the association, relative to organizing, governance, policies, rules and regulations of the Fil-Mission Auxiliary Association. The FYM believes that as a youth affiliate, they (members) have to take the initiative in organizing their own peers.

Commitment

The Filipino Youth with a Mission commits itself to solicit moral and spiritual support for all the Filipino missionaries especially the Mission Society of the Philippines through prayers and active involvement in missionary

Levels of Membership



A prospective member must undergo the two levels of membership pursuant to the provisions of the FMAA. Any regular member, who reached the age of 25, shall automatically graduate to the FMAA without having to undergo the two levels of membership. cooperation and promotion.
